After breakfast at your hotel, you will take a guided day trip to Cape Manza, the northern part of Okinawa island.
At the very top of the cliff, there is an observation deck, offering stunning views of the sea. You will enjoy seeing waves break on coral reefs and an endless emerald ocean all the way to the horizon...
Then, you will visit a local landmark, the Kouri Ocean Tower. Its height is relatively small, only 36 meters, but the building is located at an altitude of 82 meters above sea level. That is why the observation deck offers a magnificent view of the Kori Bridge, plus a scattering of tiny islands in Haneji Bay.
The trip will continue at the famous Churaumi Aquarium. Its name in Japanese consists of two parts: “tyura” – beautiful, graceful, and “umi” – sea. The site is part of the Ocean Exhibition Park. You can see unique whale sharks, the largest species of its kind in the world. The place is full of other oceanic lifeforms, like stingrays, tiger sharks, and sea devils. You will come back to your local hotel after the trip is finished.
There’s a famous line in space history that needs no introduction: “Houston, we’ve had a problem.” Spoken by the Apollo 13 crew in 1970, it became a symbol of human resilience and ingenuity. Decades later, when the Houston Astros finally won the World Series in 2017, sportswriters playfully rephrased it — “Houston, we’ve got no problem!”
Enjoy visiting the City of the Shining Sun, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will see the Toshogu historical complex, the funeral site where the spirits of Japan's three most powerful Samurai rest in peace, and, finally, the famous Kagon waterfalls.
